Webster's defines Tertiary Colors as:  1 : a color produced by mixing two secondary colors. 2 : a color produced by an equal mixture of a primary color with a secondary color adjacent to it on the color wheel. These colors are represented on our color wheel with the BLACK DOTED HEXAGONOur wheel continues to get more complex and complete.

These colors are: RED-ORANGE, YELLOW-ORANGE, YELLOW-GREEN, BLUE-GREEN, BLUE-VIOLET, and RED-VIOLET
